I played pool on yahoo the other day and saw small banner that says $1.99 for .com (dot com) domain name. I must say that if you are thinking to buy domain name anytime soon buy it at yahoo for $1.99 . Just google “yahoo domain name 1.99″ without quotes 
I also put a banner to my hosting that I think it is the best, just have a look of their hosting packages and you will fall in love with them. I switch to them same day from my last hosting, eventhough I was with them 4 years.

the prices for yahoo domains are so low because , you are also obliged to buy hosting from what i remember . The domain is 1.99$ the first year , and the next year it becomes 10$-12$ don’t remember exactly .
