Health blog is not easy to maintain especially if you are not into some sort of medical field. Blogs like that do recieve a lot more revenue by google adsense because advertisers are willing to pay a lot more money for 1 advertising click!
My suggestion for Health Blogs:
As I wrote above you have to be in medical field in order to write something about health. The easy part would be, copy and paste text from other medical websites but that is not solution for your blog to be popular.
Decide what you are going to write about, is it only breast cancer or cancer all together. Are you going to write about different disease or jut one in particular?
If you are writing for example STD (sexually transmitted diseases) my recomendation is not to provide detail pictures unless you place link to the picture and warn your readers before they open link.
Your template should be very easy to navigate as well not using different advertisings especially flashing ones. Reason I said that is because, readers get turned off when they notice a lot of advertising. They come for instructions, information and most of them just want to view your pages in peace, without closing popups and clicking on different links.
Be specific on keywords, think what kind of audience would you like to gather around your blog. Description should be good formated straight to the point.
If you are writing about heart diseases why don’t you try to match your template with that niche ? I did not say place a real heart photo , THATS CREEPY!
Over all make sure your blog is easy to read , be prepared to answer all questions from your blog readers. Get confidence from your readers, let them know you are very informational about topic you are writing about.

@LinkyLove I make each month like $40-$50 from TLA by choosing which advertisers I want to have add on my site. I get between 3-10 offers a month. I denie probably 2-5 because they are irrelevant. I think with your backlinks and stuff you should try , works better then google adsense because its the amount of money you are going to get and it does not flactuate.

TextLinkAds, I am in their system yet never get any news from them. I added a new blog and see they want me to install a script…
Are you referring to the Inlinks or the normal TextLinkAds?
And as I read you: you don’t use the automated option that lets TLA look for ads for you, but you chose option 2: “I will receive emails and reject or accept links myself”?

Yes I chose which ads I will reject or accept my self System Plan B, I was under their System Plan A and I haven’t recievend not 1 add, once I switched to plan B 3 days later my add was bought.
