(Couple of blog tips for different type of blogs)

These are my blog tips for technology blog:

Technology blog should provide as much information as possible, that is the key to have your readers informed about hardware, software, programming etc. This way you will have your readers stay on your blog for longer time of period.

When writing about certain technology you want your first 150-200 words be very catchy and easy to understand, that will help your readers what information you are trying to give. Here is the layout how I would write post

• Picture -Pictures ( picture should not any be bigger then 350×350, if using multiple pictures make them as thumbnails for example 80×80 pixels)
• Start text – this text as said above should be catch and straight to the point what you are going to write about.
• Description – Describe the item in depth don’t write more then 1.000 words if you do not have to.
• Conclusion - Wrap up the conclusion about item you are writing about
• Detail Technical Information – If you are writing for example about cell phones ( iphone) , routers (Cisco) etc in your detail information you want to specify all things about the item, hight, weight, battery , in other words everything about it.

Things to watch out for:
Don’t forget to place alt text into your pictures

WordPress Plugins like “all in one seo pack” would give you more power over the post, for example you can specify the title name you can specify description and keywords you want to use for single posts.

If you ever get stuck on what you are going to write about, visit other technology blogs see what they write about. My favorite is google news Sci/Tech.

Make sure your pictures are not copyright material and if they are, ask the source if you can take it. Down the road if your blog becomes popular, such sources tend to sue you just because you are their competitor.
