Most bloggers expect more traffic from StumbleUpon website but also from Digg so which one is really better?

Which social networking site redirects more traffic?

According to my own statistics stumbleupon was always better, even though I or visitors digg my posts every day.

In my opinion digg is now good only for blogs and websites that have lots of traffic, where stumbleupon does not really care. If you write good post you will always be more loved by Stumblers then Diggers.

How to get on digg popular front page?

Well first of all you really need a lot of traffic that will digg your post or website article, then maybe maybe you will get on diggs front page.

How to get on StumbleUpon front page?

Easyer then digg for sure! You need friends that will stumbleupon your post, but also you need a good article that most stumblers will like it. I know this from personal experience.

Stumblers are very good at rating posts, they have 2 options they love it or they don’t and if you get lucky they will give you an answer why they like it or why not.

I have not yet seen any of my posts on digg reach more then 50 diggs, but I have seen Stumblers leave more then 100 comments! So what does this tell you ? SU is better at least in my opinion.

Digg should change their ratings somehow, or give more category options.

Horaayy..there are 6 comment(s) for me so far ;)

I prefer stumbleupon as well. With Digg it’s hard to get on the front page. Plus I got banned from Digg and I have no idea why. I didn’t spam it or anything, in fact I hardly used it at all.

@Sandra:
That is weird, did you contact their technical support? I have never heard you can get banned from digg…

Did you have multiple digg accounts?

I haven’t been trying social bookmarking websites but having explored Digg and StumbleUpon a bit I too prefer content promoted by StumbleUpon users.

I think also the age of the users, If you see stumbleUpon readers they are over 20s, I haven’t check that on Digg myself but I have read that their average ages are below SU, so of course SU people will be more like in the deep reading that digg users.
IMHO

i’m a stumbler fan myself. i’ve discovered loads of useful sites through SU, and it’s also provided plenty of traffic and new readers to my blogs.

I use both but when I need to look for something I’ll with digg. It seems to me that the search on digg is more relevant. When I want some fun and discover pages with different topics I go with stumble upon.
