I want to test this little top commentators plugin that everybody is talking about, matter in fact today I have seen top commentators plugin at shoemoney.

Top Commentators Plugin?

The name of the plugin says it all. Top commentator is plugin that shows bloggers and visitors that commented the most. I limited mine to 5 maybe after a while I will increase the number but for now I think 5 commentators is enough.

What is my test about?

Well I would like to see if my comments do really increase, and I would like to provide some of those statistics to you, does top commentators plugin really bring more traffic? Will see!

Most people have top commentators plugin that you have to edit your php file etc, but the one I installed is acctually a widget! really easy to install it took me whole 20 seconds to setup and install.

Five seconds to upload to my ftp server, 5 seconds to activate it and 10 seconds to customize it.

You can download top commentators widget plugin for wordpress here

Do you have top commentators widget plugin? Let us all know how it works for you

Horaayy..there are 5 comment(s) for me so far ;)

I’ve found the top commentators plugin to be very useful. The best part is that it automatically generates a who’s who of you’re peers for the most part which is great.

Thanks for linking to the widget version. I have been looking for this version for a while.

I did have a top commentators plugin for a while but found it attracted a lot of one line “I’m just saying this to get on the TC list” sort of comments. Sure you can black list such spammers and delete their “comments” but that’s not really the point… :)

I just added this plugin as well, I think it does give your readers a little something for interacting with your blog.

I can see where real large commented sites might have an issue with spam but if you don’t get 100 spam comments per post I think it words great.

Thanks, Scott

@Chipseo; I haven’t yet have any spammers. But I do watch out who posts what more then normally, because people would comment just anything to get on top 5
