As many of you know or noticed my writing is better and better from month to month. Yes I still have lots of grammar issues but today we are not going to talk about that. We are going to talk about how to write great blog content!
What is great blog content?
Blog content is very important, without that your blog probably will end up junk to others while to you might be good as it is. To receive blog traffic and get people to subscribe to your rss feeds your content needs to have point needs to have some resource and true facts etc.
Said that, your blog content does not need to be flawless every time you write post, I have not seen blogger yet or even website that has perfect, quality content each time they post.
It is not only what you write or how you write. It is also how many people are really interested in that content.
What to avoid in blog content?
From my own experience you should avoid grammar mistakes, I make a lot of them and I can’t really do nothing about it yet, with the time period of writing posts, I have to admit my english got better and better. So avoid grammar mistakes, read your content twice or even three times if you have to.
Repeated sentences, don’t write things twice just to have bigger post.
Try to avoid personal options as much as you can, people have different opinions and your readers might get offended or turned off by your opinions. So if you have an opinion, make it positive, explain why do you think that way.
Long or short blog content?
The longer the better? Not true!
For example, I like short blog posts, somewhere between 500 and 1000 letters. Many bloggers make mistake because they write 4000-6000 letters blog post, most people don’t read that because they don’t have time for very very detailed post. I am not saying that is bad, news for example should be long people read news like a book and they need more information, but if you are writing about sports shoes why would you explain every single step you make?
To Short?
Once sentence blogs are killers, I have not seen 1 blog that made huge popularity by writing one or two sentences. Your visitors stay on your blog for 5 sec 10sec while on other blogs 2 minutes 4 minutes or more.
International Language Blogs?
Idea is not bad, I always wanted to write my blog in 5 different languages but now imagine how much time would I have to spend to write this post in 5 different languages! That is problem no.1
Second problem is that people don’t like to search where their language post starts. Many bloggers will try to write in two or three languages to catch bigger audience, but what they forget is that not all visitors like to see that.
Third problem is that many bloggers start with their own language and then English. International Blogs that have 2 or more languages in their posts, should always include English first, because English is one of the most common languages people learn in other countries beside united states.
Spell Check
Before you finish your blog post, do spell check on it, my technique of check for spelling is simply by using Firefox browser it has integrated spell checker.

Nice post, the article length is an interesting one. I think many articles are to short to even be called articles. A post of just two sentences doesn’t add much in the way of value.
I tend to be long winded but try to keep myself between 900-2000 words.
