This is a good discussion and you can vote whether you like short or long blog posts. Or you are like me “i like both” depends on where I am and how busy I am.

I am at work and I don’t have time to read whole posts from my favorite blogs like:

Problogger (One Animal Trait That Will Keep Your Blog From Extinction – Mimicry)

TechCrunch (Amazon Takes the Humans Out of Fulfillment With New API)

Arstechnica (Classmate PC rated “E” for everyone; Intel to sell to public)

Mashable (Digsby’s Centralized IM Tool Publicly Launches)

DoshDosh (How to Build a Successful News Blog: 10 Information Sources You Can Use)

Etc…

I don’t mind long posts but sometimes I wonder how do these people get time to write posts long like this? Assuming that they spend half an hour and more to write all stuff and make it look nice.
Yet I am at work and I really try to read what my favorite blogs write today but yet my time is very limited. Imagine me reading posts above + 20-50 others? If boss asks me: “what did you do today ” oh I read about 20 blogs took me whole day!

Blogs I like the most:

Not spending too much time explaining stuff or blogs that have summarized everything instead of explaining even “what color plain was”

When I write posts I am in between, sometimes I write 50 word post sometimes 200 word post and somethimes if I am really trying to explain things I tend to write more then 1000 words!

Blogs that I linked to above are my favorite blogs and don’t have anything bad to say about it’s just that it bothers me that sometimes interesting post I found I have to go home and read it to find out that only first few words caught my attention and thats all.

What about you?

What’s your writing style? Do you read blogs that tend to describe too much even though it is not necessary?
