As I mentioned in my previous posts I started to advertise BONTB aggressively online. I chose blogs that are in same niche carlocab , blogging-ads and also started to use some of the social networks like Facebook and Stumbleupon.
Facebook is Awesome
Facebook is so far the best place I could advertise on, I paid about 10-15c per click to advertise on Facebook. For past 2 days I received 15 clicks and over 15.517 page impressions! now tell me if that is not some good advertising or what?
I don’t really care about the clicks now as much as I care people see my blog logo advertising.
How many times have you seen some logo on different website and you remembered right away who’s blog that is? (Branding Your Blog)
Stumbleupon Sucks
Stumbleupon advertising sucks, because I paid 40 bucks got 800 visitors and maybe 1200 extra visitors but none of them left any comment, I couldn’t tell visitors why they are here. What this blog is about etc…
When you think 2000 visitors is a lot, but how many of them subscribed to my RSS feeds? How many stay on this blog for more then 1 minute? That tells me, either my blog sucks or stumbleupon sent me non-targeted traffic.
So if you think to advertise be wise , do better research about your advertising, how much money can you spend? What are you getting in return ?
Having 50.000 a day visiting your blog and have nothing to do with your “niche” or your content will drop to 50 visitors a day in 1 week.
What are your advertising tactics? Where do you advertise? Do you use Adwords?

Horaayy..there are 5 comment(s) for me so far ;)
Have you tried using stumble upon without paying for advertising, I got 120 visitors one day from submitting a post.
@QS:I got over 16.000 visitors in one day from one post but that isn’t it.

I haven’t advertised on Facebook or Stumbleupon, but I do Stumble my posts and pages. I don’t recall ever hearing anyone say great things about advertising with Stumbleupon. Well, other than in the testimonials they have on their ad info page!
I’ve not tried any paid advertising howevr I do find that although stumble dose give me any real reader what it dose give me is some good page impression. That in turn give me a better google search click through.
I’ve been using other tools to drive visits, like yourself I use blogcatalog to get a better qulity reader (that how I ended up here). Also Twitter is starting to become an interesting driver of traffic. Also some very interesting link for the happening now stuff with inturn should help with better content.
I’ve never used paid advertising to get traffic for my “regular” blog. For my affiliate sites/products I use Adwords to advertise it
