Many of you heard of Twitter or Plurk otherwise you wouldn’t probably read this now. Yet some of you ask your self why don’t I have Twitter or Plurk followers? (fans).

Simple answer is “YOU ARE NOT SOCIALIZING!“.

Yes being popular on internet helps you gain more followers and fans automatically, even though such people in real life are nobody to most people. Unless they are someone like Tila Tequila (Myspace Bi***).

So stop thinking you can’t do the same! or you wish you would be Robert Scoble or Jason Calacanis from Mahalo search engine.

Anyways lets go back to the topic “How to Build Social Network full of Followers and Fans”

First thing I must tell you, It will not happen over night, so be patient time will come when people will talk about you.

Socialize!, that is the key. Have only 1 eventually 2 social networks that you are going to focus on each day. Day and Night!

Talk to other twitters, plurkers, friendfeeders or whatever the social network might be. Ask questions ! Find out who what like, but ask questions that are interest of yours as well. Like for example “What car do you drive?” then go on with that, make some conversation about it. After that you will see one or two people will add you as fan or follow you on twitter.

Plurkers, don’t think people like you because you have big karma, they like you because they found same interest or you are god damn looking GIRL. Chasing Top Plurkers isn’t something you want to do, focus as I wrote above on your fans or friends talk to them.

Twitters, don’t just follow big boys and top bloggers, because they will never “almost never” replay you any message unless they know you really good. Instead go to “everyone” tab, find somebody interesting again to you, ask him/her question or give your opinion to what he/she said. Use hashtags #twitter #plurk (See top hashtags here) or summize.com.

Anyways I wrote this post because I want to help people to socialize on internet, and because I don’t want Twitter or Plurk to focus on just people that have a lot of followers, fans, friends etc..

Word Socializing on Plurk or Twitter does not exist anymore!. Just because of people that are self promoting them self or like some, show their (body parts), such people know that being on internet “popular” does not work forever, at least not in real life.

So please Plurkers Twitters, don’t start making friends with lies ,  sooner or later that will hunt you down. (I know some people did). Also if you like cars and don’t know anything about technology or blogshpere, don’t pretend you do. In other words don’t pretend being somebody on internet that you are not.

When writing as blogger you need to keep your blogging image clean. You never know if today or tomorrow your blog could take off and start receiving lots of traffic. Yet month later rumors starts around blogsphere, that you are actually some bad guy/girl. On many occasions I told you to start commenting on other blogs just so you let other bloggers know “your blog does exist too”. Some people when they comment can be very rude and annoying and lets just hope that is not you.

Why?

I understand that sometimes your opinions need to be expressed and you just had to leave rude comment. Well don’t! Sooner or later somebody will pick on you and could eventually crash you with only one move by  blogging about you and your personality. What happens next?

Your visitors might see that blog post and do not see the other side of you. Soon enough you are going to start losing respect, loyalty and most important your image affront of your friends and family.

What to do then?

Don’t comment in way that could hunt you back, don’t comment personal stuff because you never know how somebody is going to take that. Some people take it positive some in negative way.

If somebody writes about you on their blog, just ignore it. Unless you really really have to clarify and can make things better by saying “It’s not true, That’s a lie here is the proof.

Why am I writing this?

Because I see big bloggers bashing one another constantly online, take TechCrunch (Michael Arrington) and Robert Scoble for example. Two most tech known people on internet, talking against each other now and then. After each post I read all the comments, some people liked what Michael or Robert said , yet more people see it as “How is this post related to tech news”?

Now you know! If you are angry with some other blogger because of , this and that, try to make things private via email or even better call each other via Skype.

Keep your online image clean..

This week my negative karma kicked in if you haven’t noticed yet by my last posts. But the reason I am writing this way is because I don’t want you to quit blogging. Motivation is the key! And there are ways to keep your self motivated not to quit blogging.

Here are few examples how I kept my self motivated in situations where I said “i’ll just quit!!”:

I started reading inspirational blogs and one of my favorite is Problogger(How Do You Stay Motivated) there is not one day (for past 2 years) that his posts did not lead me to some kind of positive motivation.

Money should NOT be your real motivation, imagine you blog for 2 years and you only managed to pay off your hosting! And then right before you wanted to quit blogging some top post keyword of yours landed as no.1 in google the next day, which brought you 52.000+ visitors that day.

Blogging is time consuming but then as I said in earlier post, you don’t have to post every day , people don’t expect you to.Try to write at least once or twice a week grab 10 minutes of your time and blog something in your niche. Take DosDosh for example, he writes about once or twice a week since he started blogging and look what his blog became (Top 100 in technorati, over 16.000+ Rss subscribers).

Blogs that keep me motivated:

News.com Blogs

TechMeme

ChrisG

Social Networks like Twitter, Plurk, MySpace, FaceBook …. can keep you motivated too! People constantly ask “when are you going to post something?, Why didn’t you post anything last week?, How can I advertise on your blog?”

So find the way to keep your self motivated , and motivate others to blog in positive way even though you might feel the negative energy inside your self.

I bet many of you are blogging for more then 6 month’s some of you even 1 year or more! Looking back at your blog do you still think make money online niche is for you? The problem is that I am not out of ideas what to write on (Blog Or Not To Blog) but the time came where I dedicated more time to college and work.

Sometimes blogger as me should take time of , and it is ok. Some of you are afraid loosing traffic some of you are afraid loosing readers. But don’t be. Your readers and visitors understand such life times.

As most of you noticed I don’t write 1-2 posts per day, now it is most likely 1-2 per week. Yet I still did not loose any of the traffic I was getting before and the only thing did change is the increase of the readership, its  slower increasing.

So what is the worst thing you can do to your blog?

Let blog die I would say! Not posting anything for month or two is something that I don’t like to see on other blog and the only reason I could understand is medical illness.

Don’t let your blog die, you can always find 5 minutes a week and write something that would help other bloggers or visitors that is if your blog is about let say “Make Money Online Niche“.

I know many of bloggers own at least 2 domain names, and sometimes we just buy domain name thinking it’s awesome. But then you find out that it’s time consuming and you don’t have time to update all 15 blog domain names you have.

I can’t really say that I am domainer but to be honest, I own over 40 domain names and I only run 5 blogs almost on daily basis , including Bontb.com. What about other 30+ domain names ?

Open account with Moniker.com and Sedo.com and join also Namepros.com forums and try

A: to monitize your domain names with sedo or parked.com

B: Sell your domain name(s) with moniker, sedo or namepros

You would be amazed how much they give you per click! My highest 1 click amount was $2.79 now imagine how much I make with 2.500-2.700 monthly traffic. You still think adsense pays good? :)

Here is an example of my domain name i sell and monitized with Sedo.

HawaiiB (Use to be Hawaiian Blog with 5000-6000 monthly visits)

Update: As I was writing this blog post I went and check my sedo accout. I sold Hawaiib.com to somebody for $170 I know it’s cheap but you know I needed money for my Iphone 3g :)

See how well unused domain names selling can be?

Spielberg speaking at the Pentagon on August 11, 1999.

Image via Wikipedia

I realized last night after watching movie The Mist by Steven Spielberg, that I was watching the movie as “blogger”. I know it sounds weird but listen to this…

Movie is about small town of people which up in mountains Army was preparing some Secret Project. Project went bad and aliens from other side got into the town start killing people.

As blogger I was observing 3 characters in the movie the black guy Andre Braugher , white guy Thomas Jane (btw he has funny last name) and this white female Marcia Gay Harden.

At the end it got me thinking, if I have today 5 followers of my blog by tomorrow I might have 50 by end of this year I could have 50.000 all I really have to do is make people believe in me for what I am saying. That might sound stupid, because in the movie people follow lady that was crazy and nearly killed half of the market store.

What I am trying to say is, if you had few other bloggers, friends or regular users believe in you and your blog, they will tell other people about you and your blog this way you are building small army of traffic if you know what I mean?

So if you feel there is some strong connection that you have with another person, work on them , socialize with them more.

I know many bloggers are waiting to get featured on popular blogs by popular bloggers yet you can just count the days when that “can” happen or might never happen.

Well that’s my story for today from watching the movie “The Mist”

Finding advertisers now day’s is very hard, especialy in United States with all these layoffs going on and economic issues. So here is my short post how you can easy and quick find advertisers for your blog.

Do you have adsense on your blog? If you do check who is are the advertisers on your blog ( dont click on link). Ask them if they would like to advertise on your blog without paying any fees etc, make sure you don’t overrate your blog advertising price! (50c or $1 per 1000 impressions (pageviews) sounds always reasonable).

If you don’t have adsense, start from my blog! see who is advertising on my blog and ask them if they woudl like to advertise on yours. Now the thing is if your blog is about technology, these advertisers are not for you.

So make always sure to check blogs with banner ads adsense in your niche.

Hope this will help you out making more income stream.

Remember folks:

Do not over price your blog!

Give them some discount (make them feel special)

Do not click on your own adsense! or other’s adsense just to check who the advertiser is. You can check the url always at the bottom.
