I know many of bloggers own at least 2 domain names, and sometimes we just buy domain name thinking it’s awesome. But then you find out that it’s time consuming and you don’t have time to update all 15 blog domain names you have.

I can’t really say that I am domainer but to be honest, I own over 40 domain names and I only run 5 blogs almost on daily basis , including Bontb.com. What about other 30+ domain names ?

Open account with Moniker.com and Sedo.com and join also Namepros.com forums and try

A: to monitize your domain names with sedo or parked.com

B: Sell your domain name(s) with moniker, sedo or namepros

You would be amazed how much they give you per click! My highest 1 click amount was $2.79 now imagine how much I make with 2.500-2.700 monthly traffic. You still think adsense pays good? :)

Here is an example of my domain name i sell and monitized with Sedo.

HawaiiB (Use to be Hawaiian Blog with 5000-6000 monthly visits)

Update: As I was writing this blog post I went and check my sedo accout. I sold Hawaiib.com to somebody for $170 I know it’s cheap but you know I needed money for my Iphone 3g :)

See how well unused domain names selling can be?

Spielberg speaking at the Pentagon on August 11, 1999.

Image via Wikipedia

I realized last night after watching movie The Mist by Steven Spielberg, that I was watching the movie as “blogger”. I know it sounds weird but listen to this…

Movie is about small town of people which up in mountains Army was preparing some Secret Project. Project went bad and aliens from other side got into the town start killing people.

As blogger I was observing 3 characters in the movie the black guy Andre Braugher , white guy Thomas Jane (btw he has funny last name) and this white female Marcia Gay Harden.

At the end it got me thinking, if I have today 5 followers of my blog by tomorrow I might have 50 by end of this year I could have 50.000 all I really have to do is make people believe in me for what I am saying. That might sound stupid, because in the movie people follow lady that was crazy and nearly killed half of the market store.

What I am trying to say is, if you had few other bloggers, friends or regular users believe in you and your blog, they will tell other people about you and your blog this way you are building small army of traffic if you know what I mean?

So if you feel there is some strong connection that you have with another person, work on them , socialize with them more.

I know many bloggers are waiting to get featured on popular blogs by popular bloggers yet you can just count the days when that “can” happen or might never happen.

Well that’s my story for today from watching the movie “The Mist”

Finding advertisers now day’s is very hard, especialy in United States with all these layoffs going on and economic issues. So here is my short post how you can easy and quick find advertisers for your blog.

Do you have adsense on your blog? If you do check who is are the advertisers on your blog ( dont click on link). Ask them if they would like to advertise on your blog without paying any fees etc, make sure you don’t overrate your blog advertising price! (50c or $1 per 1000 impressions (pageviews) sounds always reasonable).

If you don’t have adsense, start from my blog! see who is advertising on my blog and ask them if they woudl like to advertise on yours. Now the thing is if your blog is about technology, these advertisers are not for you.

So make always sure to check blogs with banner ads adsense in your niche.

Hope this will help you out making more income stream.

Remember folks:

Do not over price your blog!

Give them some discount (make them feel special)

Do not click on your own adsense! or other’s adsense just to check who the advertiser is. You can check the url always at the bottom.

I can’t say that I hate Twitter, yet I only hate it when it’s down. But lately more and more bloggers, and people in general are switching to Plurk because of less down time and its more conversational.

I like Plurk better then twitter because it has more features and I interact with many bloggers.

Now some of you know that I own also LiveCrunch !

I have been writing about things like “how bloggers should not blog about topics they don’t know much” and that is still true. But there is also part that I want to share with you on how to become expert in any blog topic.

Books are the answer! Many bloggers have RSS feeds and read other blogs topics and then just kind of rewrite them. With books it’s different, you gain better knowledge and understanding of topic you want to learn and later on write about.

For example: I want to open blog and write about Cisco Routers or Switches but I don’t know anything about them. Blogs usually will give you topics which you might not understand (to technical), in order to understand you have to start from scratch and that is reading CCNA book or Cisco for Dummies etc.

If you have passion to learn something and then later on give your expert advices to your audience, read few books that you are interested in and gain the knowledge.

Many bloggers read books, they will not tell you because “expert” might loose that “coolness” on how good they are at given topic they write about.

Thing is that many bloggers right after they create domain name and submit first post are focused on getting all kind of traffic and backlinks yet they don’t socialize a lot.

This is what most new bloggers do:

1. Create account on Technorati, Digg and bunch other blog directories websites.

2. Write 5-10 blog posts.

3. Stumbleupon every single post for traffic between (200-10.000 unique visitors)

4. Open FeedBurner Account after they realize something is missing

5. Go from blog to blog leaving spam short comments like “check out my blog”

6. Join bunch of trains for Technorati Favorites, MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog

7. STOP BLOGGING because insufficient amount of traffic and money they made.

This is what most new bloggers should do:

1. Write at least 50 blog posts ( this way you can show at least some content to your traffic)

2. Joine FeedBurner right after you think your blog theme and layout is awesome which was confirmed by few of your friends as well.

3. Got budget? $5-$20 per month would be enough to start advertising on adsense, stumbleupon or facebook.

4. Join sites like EntreCard, Stumbleupon, Twitter, Plurk, Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, Digg. Add invite your friends from Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo accounts through API site’s above offer.

5. Add your feedburner rss feeds to websites, each time you post something on your blog it will be automatically shared, you can use for example TwitterFeed.com to share blog posts on Twitter.

After years of blogging I can only think one thing that helped me get to where I am right now with my blogs.
